How do i save my searches?

It is very simple to get the site to update you when properties or information in which you are interested is loaded on to the site. You must be a registered user to used ‘Saved Searches’. If you are not registered yet click here to do so when you have read the instructions below.

Searching for Information

Searches can be executed either by using the drop down boxes to the left hand side of your screen or by using the ‘Advanced Search’ links. It depends at which level of detail you wish to search. On the results page, click the ‘Save Search’ link displayed under User Options.

As an example:

If you wish to be updated each time a French property is loaded on to the site click ‘France’ in the drop down box on the top left hand side of your screen under ‘Countries’. When the list of French property is displayed click on ‘Save Search’ and each time a new French property is added to the site you will receive an email notification.

You can refine your search using the ‘Advanced Search’ link on the left hand side of the page. This will allow you to search for properties within a certain price range, with a certain number of bedrooms/bathrooms or only fitting criteria which you can define in your search. Once the search results are presented click on ‘Save Search’ and you will receive notifications as appropriate.

Saved Search notifications are all issued by email together once per day at 1am.

Searching for Articles:

Searches for articles are carried out in exactly the same manner as property searches. These can be done using the drop down boxes to the left of the screen or the ‘Advanced Search’ link on the left hand side. Using the ‘Advanced Search’ link you can, for example, have the site update you when new legal or tax information on your specific country of interest is loaded on to the site.

This is a useful service not only for those looking at purchasing a property abroad, but also for those owning a property abroad who wish to be kept up to date with ongoing developments in whichever area is of interest to them.

Newsletter:

By registering on the site you will automatically receive the sites monthly newsletter. If you do not wish to receive the newsletter simply log in to your account, click on ‘Settings’, then on ‘Edit Alerts’ and set ‘OverseasCafe mailing list’ to ‘Never’. If you decide you wish to receive the newsletter at a later stage you can turn it back on again.
